  • What is Fine Art Wedding Photography?

To me, a fine art photo is not just about beautiful pictures but the meaningfulness and life each one contains.  Every image we take is thoughtfully captured and I believe it's really got to say something to you. That takes a combination of anticipation, skill, personality, and creativity.  Your experience & breath-taking imagery are the foundation for everything we do.  We're all about emotion and capturing who you truly are.  The moments that are real and authentic mean the most to us.  It's a once in a lifetime event and photography is one of the only things that will last just as long as your marriage does.  On average, over 40 hours of work will go into your event, bringing everything together to make sure you can beautifully share your timeless story with your friends and family for years to come.

  • What are your thoughts on a photographic style?

I came across an interview with an absolute legend in photography, Jay Maisel.  He was asked about style and what he thought about photographer's needing to have a style and he said (paraphrasing him), "Style is a superficial kind of thing. The very word means something that's going to go out of style after a while."  I thought he hit it right on the nose.  There are always "trends" in photography, a lot like fashion.  While we're definitely known a certain type of artistry and approach to photography, what I'm most passionate about is creating images that will stand the test of time.  I feel the only way to do that is to capture moments that are real, authentic, and purely you.  Moments filled with life and emotion.  Expressions that are colorful and intimate.  Not a style or a trend... your life together is much more than that.

  • Why do you believe personality of the photographer so important?

Remember you'll be spending almost the entire day (one of the most special and emotional days of your life) with your photographer. You want to feel comfortable around and supported by this person. You want someone who knows how to lead and direct and when to be turn invisible.  To me, how you connect with your photographer is the most important thing when it comes down to choosing who you want to capture your wedding day.

  • Do you travel for weddings?

We love to travel and have done so quite a few times! Let's connect and we can discuss the details about your big day!
