Hawaii Wedding Photography Prices

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Hawaii?

Keoni Michael is a Hawaii wedding photographer based in Honolulu, Oahu, specializing in scenic wedding photography, genuine moments, true-to-life color, and a fun, comfortable experience.

Full-day wedding photography in Hawaii typically begins at $4,200, with most couples investing between $4,700 and $9,000 depending on coverage and customization. Elopement and shorter coverage options are also available for more intimate celebrations.

Wedding photography prices in Hawaii vary based on coverage, experience, consistency, reputation, and what is included. Elopements and shorter weddings may start lower, while full-day wedding collections with albums, engagement sessions, second photographers, or photo + video can range much higher.

For wedding coverage across the islands, you may find options starting around $1,500 for elopements needing 2 hours of coverage. Packages that include videography, sessions and wedding albums can cost $10,000–$12,000.

For an experienced, established Hawaii wedding photographer, 8 hours of coverage typically falls between $4,000 and $6,000.

When it comes to wedding photography, you truly get what you pay for. Outside of your wedding rings and the person you’re marrying, your photos are often one of the only lasting investments you bring home from your wedding day.

I believe in being clear and straightforward about pricing so there are no surprises. My approach is tailored, flexible, and designed to fit your day naturally — whether you’re planning a private estate wedding, a scenic outdoor celebration, or a full-day event in Waikiki.

There is never pressure to book. The most important part is making sure we are a good fit. If we’re spending the entire day together, you should feel comfortable and probably like me, lol.

How Many Hours of Wedding Photography Do You Need?

Choosing the right amount of coverage depends on your vision for the day. Here is a quick guide to help you decide which collection fits your Hawaii wedding:

  • 2 to 4 Hours: Best for elopements, courthouse weddings, or very small celebrations with a simple timeline. This usually covers the ceremony, a few family portraits, and time at a scenic portrait location planned ahead of time. In Hawaii, that often means heading somewhere with ocean, cliffs, mountains, gardens, or lava rock coastlines, even if it is separate from the ceremony location. This works best when there is minimal travel, no getting-ready coverage, and no full reception coverage.

  • 6 Hours: Best for intimate weddings, elopements, or simple celebrations at a single location. This typically covers the ceremony, family portraits, and the beginning of your reception dinner.

  • 8 Hours: Our most popular choice. This provides a relaxed pace that covers getting ready moments, a first look, the ceremony, sunset portraits, and all the major reception highlights (toasts, cake, and first dances).

  • 10+ Hours: Ideal for larger celebrations, multiple locations that require transportation between them (like a church ceremony followed by a resort reception), or couples who want full storytelling from morning preparations to the late-night dance floor exit.

Pro Tip: In Hawaii, the sun sets quickly. We always recommend building in a 30-minute "Golden Hour" buffer just before sunset to capture that iconic island light.

What sets us apart?

  • You’ll work with a photographer who has over a decade of experience photographing weddings in Hawaii and collaborating with top planners, venues, and vendors across the islands.

You’ll be guided when direction helps and given space when it doesn’t. Nothing forced. Nothing over-produced.

This is your wedding day, not a production. You get the freedom to stay present and enjoy it, while everything is documented naturally in the background.

  • Your focus stays simple. Photography.

By specializing exclusively in photography, you get consistency, experience, and full attention on what matters most. For everything else, I work alongside and refer trusted vendors I’ve partnered with for years, so you’re surrounded by professionals who care about quality as much as you do.

  • Many all-inclusive photo and video companies rely on large teams and subcontract photographers and videographers. In many cases, couples don’t know exactly who will be showing up until the wedding day.

Your photographer’s style, experience, and personality matter more than most people realize. Every photographer sees and captures moments differently.

When you book here, you know exactly who will be documenting your wedding day. The person you connect with now is the one who shows up, and the images you see throughout this site reflect the same artistic style you can expect to receive after your wedding.

  • Not all portfolios are built the same. Some photographers primarily showcase styled or staged shoots, where lighting, timing, and conditions are fully controlled.

Real wedding days are different. Timelines move quickly, lighting changes constantly, and moments happen once.

Everything you see in my portfolio comes from real weddings, photographed in real conditions. If something was staged or styled, I would make that clear. What you see here reflects the experience, consistency, and approach you can expect on an actual wedding day.
